Artists Biography
Michelle Collier graduated in 2017 from Limerick School of Art & Design with a BA(Hons) Degree in Ceramics. Having grown up in Dublin and subsequently studied in Limerick, she has lived in two urban environments which has greatly influenced her work. Urban marks such as leaking pipes, graffiti and grubby walls influence Michelle's practice. Taking a painterly approach, her work seeks to highlight the interesting qualities found in these commonly dismissed urban features.
In addition, Michelle works with children aged 2-12 years at The Ark, a children's cultural centre, in Dublin. Her role as an Artist Assistant involves helping in a variety of workshops and invigilating exhibitions.
